Albukhshi Says:
Aug 26, 2008 - right...you haven't been reading lately have you? all I say is to have a cooler head, withdraw the machines, and say no more. just because they made machines they can tamper, does not demonstrate intent to steal any elections-that's all i said.why must you blow things out of proportions? or should I stop acting as if I were talking to an adult?
Mogh Says:
Aug 26, 2008 - This voting machine controversy has been going on for years and several elections now. It will not change until we the people force it to change. The only time this gets talked about in the media is right around the time of an election, when it is too late to do anything about it. Then, it is quickly forgotten about until the next election comes along. The electronic machines are unreliable and vulnerable to tampering, so just do away with them and go back to a paper trail. Why can't we do that?
HemiHead66 Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - It's not just the machines it's the phone companies. The totals are transmitted through the phone lines and can be changed from anywhere. They should have seperate lines for voting. One for Dems and one for republicans, and film everyone that goes in to vote. We can't have people hiding ballots and changing numbers. We need a fast way of checking on who voted for who.
uberjim83 Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - They don't need to hide ballots, they can just hit "delete."
uberjim83 Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - I agree. I think if they just withdrew the machines for failing to meet reliability standards, we'd all be cool with it. The thing that makes me suspicious is that they know they're failing the tests, but still wanting to go on using them.
Rosafanta Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - They have been tampered with. It happened in the last election. When people complained, it always indicated a bias to the Republicans. Rove's fingerprints are all over it. And you accuse me of blowing it out of proportion? How can strong indications of massive electoral fraud be blowing things out of all proportion? And yes, this is an adult speaking. An adult speaking to a fool. If you want to resort to personal insults, my friend, then go right ahead. I can fuck you with the best of them.
Albukhshi Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - man, chill, that's what I meant with blowing it out of proportion-I say one thing, and you imply that I'm not caring if its been stolen. if you keep a cooler head, you'd see that i agree with the need to guard the election. also, all I said (again), is that you cannot say that it will not necessarily be stolen this year, only that they are unreliable. BTW, i find you arrogant-a true adult hears what others have to say, and doesn't insult poeple, like you are to me. bush sup. my ass.
EVM3point0 Says:
Aug 30, 2008 - bunch of shit to distract ppl if bush gets re elected or stops the votes just move to a remote place cuz martial law is coming.
RotiSerii Says:
Aug 31, 2008 - I don't understand how it's possible to hack a voting machine. Are they connected to the internet or something?
youpick4me Says:
Sep 1, 2008 - We should get rid of private voting and it should all be written down on paper. You go to these places and they ask you who you vote for and you respond loud and clear before the whole bloody room. There is no backbone in this voting system.
dunskie Says:
Sep 1, 2008 - NO STATE should be allowed to even use these things. Just ANOTHER example of the American people being too distracted watching American Idol and Dancing With The Stars to give a flying shit. Are we really so stupid? The NWO obviously thinks so because they don't even try to hide their cheating anymore. WAKE UP my fellow fuckwits!
NoGuff Says:
Sep 1, 2008 - How about we not use the fucking machines? If everyone agrees they're inaccurate, can't be traced back to the voter's ballot, can easily be rigged, and cost way too much, why are we still pushing forward with them? Typical government thinking. And this is the same government that Liberals want to manage our health care?
n851 Says:
Sep 4, 2008 - bring back all of the mechanical voting machines. they cant be hacked or rigged, given the poll workers are honest. the only true vote given by the American people. fuck these hackable electronic pieces of crap. we will be looking at another stolen election propped up by "corporate America", who really run this country.
dustinleeweg330 Says:
Sep 5, 2008 - Get an absentee ballot.
heres22 Says:
Sep 5, 2008 - all fifty states need to use the old machines are reliable!!Michel Powell1 the only one for the job for President 11/2008 and beyond! John Mccain and Palin back off fast!
SpreadingtheMuse Says:
Sep 6, 2008 - Serves you right for being liberals. If you ran candidates that werent so inflammatory, we could all get along a lot better.
whizbang47 Says:
Sep 6, 2008 - wtf is this? You saying the rightist 22% deserve to pick our rulers and the rest of us deserve hacked Diebold machines? And whatever "counts" come out of them. Sounds like you're an Iranian mullah fellow traveler.
SpreadingtheMuse Says:
Sep 6, 2008 - If you stopped screaming "fire" at every dorky piece of publicity scamming yellow-journalism, you'd get a lot more respect. But you've cried wolf so many times its easier, and more likely, to write you off as another kook than to take the (unlikely) chance you know what you're talking about.
whizbang47 Says:
Sep 7, 2008 - Two weeks of comments disappeared overnight on 9/6-9/7. Didn't stop a smarmy reply to my post, though.
chelsica Says:
Sep 10, 2008 - and my internet (mozilla) shut down 3 times trying to play this clip!
starlitephi Says:
Sep 13, 2008 - People, the elections do not need to be stolen: wether one or the other one wins DOES NOT MATTER! WAKE UP all you ZOMBIES! They have you spinning!search Youtube: ZEITGEIST...and everything will become crystal clear!
jeshopk Says:
Sep 14, 2008 - Sorry, but that whole "kook" thing is only possible because the right has brainwashed half the country using the same fear tactics that every religion has used. It's effective, but evil.
SpreadingtheMuse Says:
Sep 14, 2008 - Oh well. ;)
mopmop1970 Says:
Sep 15, 2008 - One more chance and then revolution. Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death
Albukhshi Says:
Aug 26, 2008 - true. that's what I've been saying. I also said (the main idea), is that tamperability of these machines does not necessarily demonstrate any intent to theft. I'm only asking for cooler heads. just withdraw them and say nothing more.
